Indonesia  - Bali Best places to visit

In Indonesia, #Bali is among the top list for all the travelers and especially among the nature’s lovers. It’s a small Island consisting of abundance of natural beauty, that you name it and you will find in Bali starting from Mountains, Waterfall, Beaches, Volcano, Forest.. everything is here.

We visited during our first anniversary in April, 2017 and we both loved it and enjoyed thoroughly, though I had a bad ankle sprain while visiting Bali then also all thanks to our tour agent Komang through whom we explored major places.

1. Uluwatu Temple

Also known as Pura Luhur is located in  Bukit Peninsula island. It is famous for it’s traditional fire dance that happens every evening, make sure to buy the tickets as soon as you reach there, as it has limited seats. It's a must do.

2. Jimbaran Beach

It is famous for BBQ sea food dinner. There are many a restaurants by the side of the beach. It’s so mesmerizing to sit there during the dawn and enjoy your dinner till it’s dark while listening to the peaceful waves sound going and coming by the bay. Seafood lovers must halt for dinner.

3. Kuta Beach

The most happening for beach lovers, shopaholics, parties, bars and restaurants. Shops are open here till late night, you can go and enjoy loud music and dance to the beat. #Kuta beach is crowded in comparison to other beaches. One can learn surfing here, it’s good for beginners.

4. Legian beach and Seminyak Beach

It’s on the west coast. So, Kuta- Legian and Seminyak is in continuous row. There are many a shops along the bay line to shop for clothing, bags, jewelry, and believe me you can negotiate a lot.

5. Pura Tanah Lot temple

Beautiful temple open for travelers. Though there are many temples in Bali but all are not open for outsiders. There’s a park for families to relax and kids can play around, you can explore up and down the area, and if water level is low and calm then you can go down in one of the caves just opposite to main tanah lot.

6. Nusa Dua Beach

It’s a beautiful  properly maintained beach with beach clubs. Enjoy in the Blue water with hardly people around. There’s a park made nearby to the beach. The tranquil island of Nusa Lembongan & sisters  Ceninganand  Penida – famous for snorkeling and diving/ can go to turtle island ; Lembongan Island boats go from here -Reef cruise.

7. Sanur Beach

Sanur is mainly resort popular. It’s a quite five km stretch beach wherein you can just relax and enjoy. You can do various water activities here including Underwater sea walk.

8. Ubud

Ubud is kinda old village. It’s famous for Yoga and detoxifying you can go to The Yoga Barn. You should try Whitewater rafting if you like bit of adventure and have food in raw food restaurants, There is Neka Art Museum, Art village, Kecak Fire & Trance Dance (Pura Dalem Taman Kaja). Jatiluwih /Tegalalang Rice Terrace is a good place to visit and am sure you gonna love shopping nearby Ubud palace and market. It has beautiful wooden handicrafts.

9. Tirta empul holy spring temple

It has a sacred pond in between the temple and people bath in pond, it’s considered very religious for the Hindus. There’s a pond inside considered to be a blessed one and there are pandits /priests inside who can do puja(prayer) for you.

10. Padang beach

Again, one of the busiest beach and especially famous for surfing. There are many a stalls put across for surfboards.

11. Candi Dasa & Amed Beach

It has most of the beautiful resorts, as its up towards the east of Bali. You can go for scuba diving and snorkelling. Rumah Bambu Pengalon is a different place to see, made of bamboo. Visit Tirta Gangga Water Palace- it’s regarded as sacred to Balinese Hindu.

12. Besakih temple

It’s near Gunung Agung, very beautiful temple but be ready to climb many stairs.

13. Mount/Lake Batur

Mount Batur or you can say in local language Gunung Batur is famous for its Kintamani volcano. Hike/Climb at 4am to reach by 6am to enjoy the sunrise. You can enjoy the site from far off as well.

14. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple

It is based on Lake Bratan. There’s a ticket that you will have to purchase before entering it’s premises. This place is really mesmerizing, you feel so peaceful after seeing this beauty and especially when its bit cloudy.

15. Lovina

People go for Dolphin sightings to Lovina ; to see dolphins you will have to take the boat from lovina beach by 4 am early morning, as usually dolphins are seen at this time in the beautiful blue water.

16. Coffee Plantation

There are many coffee plants in Bali and for sure you must go and see coffee making and try luwak coffee. Go during the sunset and sit nearby the greenery forest and sip various varieties of coffee/tea that will be served to you, for sure you gonna enjoy it. We just loved one with turmeric.  

17. Pandawa beach

It is famous for paragliding . You can go and relax by the beach.

Tulamben, Padang Bai, Amed, Pemuteran- is all famous for snorkelling and scuba diving.
