Pregnancy Hospital Bag

Preparation for the D-Day

Pregnancy is one of the beautiful and special phase in life. No doubt, for each girl the pregnancy experience is different, for some it will be like a cake walk on the other hand for few others it may be like a nightmare.

Before the D- day of delivery means as per your estimated due date make sure to keep your hospital bag and stuffs for immediate use ready.

Below is the list of things you need to have in your delivery bag, though it varies from place to place or based on the hospital/ nursing clinic provision:

For mom to be:

  • Your cloths-  going out outfit, stall, soft robe, socks
  • Towel
  • Sanitiser, Dettol
  • Paste, brush, comb, hair tie, facewash soap/body wash, sampoo, lipbalm/vaseline, face cream, body cream, water wipes
  • Phone, charger, wallet.
  • Few girls prefer to keep their own comfortable pillow.
  • Nipple cream - I prefer Lansinoh, besides this mothercare organic or medela creams are also very helpful.
  • Slip on slippers
  • Santitary bag / newspaper
  • Maternity Pad - As I delivered in Malaysia, so here got Madame and Pureen brands. Really soft and long. Very helpful.
  • Disposable panties/ undergarments - I bought from Watson and Guardian two packs, each of 5 pieces .
  • Nursing dress - Always get a cotton dress or top. I bought few online dresses from lazada (online site in Malaysia). Or if you have top, nighty or dress having front button / zip then that also works the same way.
  • Nursing bra- I could suggest Marks & Spencers as its really very comfortable though mostly all brands like Mothercare, H&M have maternity bras, you can check out and do try before buying.
  • Water bottle
  • Hospital or any delivery related health papers

Baby comb, nailcutter;
Bag pack
Snuggle me organic; Bumkins wet bag ( if looking for high quality)
Car seat - If you have a car, then prefer to get a car seat so that it's safe for the baby and baby as well as you can sit comfortably.
Stroller - In today's date there are many brands as per requirement and budget. Doona, Graco, Quinny, Chicco are few high budget brands. Though will prefer to get a light weight stroller, having flexible wheels with break, convertable to 2-3 positions, it's great if the baby seat can be moved towards your side as well, if not then should be netted on top so that you can watch your baby.
Baby carrier - If you are buying then look out for strong one having baby seat and pockets for you to keep mini stuffs. Should have adjustable belt.

In India, many families prefer to make the baby wear Nazri (Made of black beads and gold or silver beads in between it) or black thread.
