Foods to increase productivity

Eat food that will make you more productive:

  1. Avocados - Rich in healthy fat, Vitamin K, Folate and proteins.
  2. Salmon - Rich in Omega-3 fatty acid.
  3. Eggs - A healthy protein source, also contains choline that boosts brain function and memory. Eggs also have Iron, Copper and Vitamin C to support overall health.
  4. Pumpkin Seeds - High magnesium content promotes calmness. It's loaded with protein and healthy fat.
  5. Leafy Greens - Like Spinach/ Kale boosts productivity as it's low calorie source . Add in 2of your meals.
  6. Green Tea - Promotes increased blood flow to the heart and brain. Also contains antioxidants that protect your brain from cellular damage, which keep your mind healthy as you age.
  7. Broccoli - It contains high amount of Vitamin K and choline which keeps brain function sharp. Have Vitamin C and Iron which promotes healthy blood flow.
  8. Almonds - Nuts are healthy snacks. It has good supply of copper that's essential for healthy brain functioning.
  9. Berries - Which can include strawberries, blackberries, blueberries provide dietary fibre and enough sugar for energy. 
  10. Oatmeal -It's a whole grain that provides healthy carbs, fibre to keep blood sugar stable, as well as Vitamin B.

Foods to Avoid:

  1. Sugary Drinks - Gives temporary sugar rush but followed by drop in sugar level which can leave you feeling like tired and fuzzy. Go for low sugar beverages like unsweetened coconut water, maple water and snack of whole fruit rather than juices.
  2. Pretzels - It's mostly made of refined white flour, so starch raises your blood sugar.
  3. Stored cookies and Cakes - Contains refined flour, huge amount of sugar and vegetable oil which leads to poor body functioning. Rather have homemade ones made in high quality fats like Olive oil, Avocado oil or grass fed butter.
  4. Processed frozen meals - Like Fast food, canned soups, may be convenient, but loaded with high sodium and preservatives which is not good for heart.
  5. Chips & French fries - Fats and Starch in it, disrupts whole of your blood sugar.
